Foster Dogs at Dogwood Ranch
Tomy (pronounced "Tommy") is a sweet boy! He is a 40 pound 6 month old who loves people and is wonderful with other dogs at Dogwood Ranch. He has an old soul. Tomy can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but he warms up quickly to become your loyal little friend. Tomy is looking for a calm household. This special little dog will return your efforts with a lifetime of unconditional love! Tomy is currently in foster care ta Dogwood Ranch. Taz (Adopted w/ AFRP!)
Taz's adoption fee is waived! Taz (previously known as Nelson) is a sweet and silly 5-year-old, 50-pound Boxer mix with tons of happy energy and the cutest underbite you'll ever see! He was adopted from AFRP as a pup and returned to AFRP when his guardians had a change in life circumstances. Taz is a smart dog that is completely house trained, loves going for rides in the car and sleeps happily in his crate at night with the door wide open! He has graduated from obedience classes and knows his basic commands. Taz can be reactive with other dogs, and will do best as a single dog in the home, with no cats or young children. He's looking for an experienced adopter that can work with Taz to help him become an even more awesome dog. Taz is currently seeking a temporary foster home or a forever home. Annie (Adopted w/ AFRP!)
Annie is one beautiful pup! This bright and loyal 2-year-old, 65-pound Shepherd is a sweet girl that loves going for walks and gets excited when the leash comes out! Smart and eager to please, Annie is doing well with her house training and she sleeps nicely in her crate all night. She has mastered sit, stay, come and lay down. Her favorite treat is chicken! Annie is devoted to people she knows. She has only been near cats under supervision. Annie will be a wonderful match for an adopter that can continue her obedience training, remind her to use good manners, keep her on a consistent schedule/routine, and give her lots of love and attention. She will be a large, strong dog when full-grown, likely 70 pounds. To arrange a meet and greet with Annie, please fill out an online application.
Bailey (Adopted w/ AFRP!)
Bailey is a super kind 1-year-old, 65-pound shepherd. She is really intuitive and food motivated. Her heart is won over by praise and treats. She loves to play with other dogs and has a wonderful personality. She is timid in new situations and doesn't take long to warm up with a little patient coaxing. Bailey is happy to sit by you and be petted or play with other dogs. Bailey has her basic obedience training started at Dogwood Ranch. She is wonderful on a leash and is happy to work for praise.
Full of potential! Faith is a 8-month-old, 35-pound mini husky puppy that is full of happy puppy energy. She came to Dogwood through South County Animal Rescue (SCAR). Faith is a playful girl that gets along with other dogs of all sizes. She will likely weigh about 50 pounds when fully grown. Faith is looking for a experienced, adult adopter that can work with her. She needs an adopter familiar with the need for patience and repetition. Faith would do well in a household with children. Due to medical issues with her right front leg, multiple specialists have recommend that she have it amputated. SCAR will be facilitating this procedure. She deserves a chance to have a happy, loving home. Faith is currently in foster care at Dogwood Ranch and she is available for meet and greets.
Jack (Adopted w/ AFRP!)
Jack is an awesome dog! He loves people and is wonderful with other dogs at Dogwood Ranch. He is loyal and loves to be loved. The staff at Dogwood adore him.
Lily (Adopted w/ AFRP!)
Need some puppy kisses in your life? Lily is an adorable 8-month-old, 45-pound bundle of wags and fluff that would love to be your forever friend. She’s a rambunctious and playful little girl that also loves to cuddle. Lily is looking for an adopter with the time and patience to raise and train a puppy with lots of love and positive reinforcement. Due to her shy temperament, an adult adopter or family with gentle teens preferred. She’ll likely weigh about 55-60 pounds as an adult dog. Lily is currently in foster care at Dogwood Ranch and she’s available for meet and greets. The first step is to fill out an online application.
